April 2016 – Pacific Simulators has completed development on its latest FSTD, which will be launched at the upcoming WATS conference in Orlando. The new EuroJet PS4.5 is designed along the same lines as the company’s ProJet PS4.5 but features fly-by-wire technology and sidesticks as opposed to the conventional control yokes and technology in the ProJet.
Now available with a spacious instructor station similar to far more expensive devices, the EuroJet will meet the expanding market in many parts of the world including South-East Asia, China, India and South America.
Director of Sales and Marketing for Pacific Simulators, Iain Pero said this week, “Demand for a cost-effective fly-by-wire FSTD has been quite strong since we launched our latest ProJet PS4.5 in the training market a couple of years ago, so we commenced this project early last year. We are extremely excited about the new product and how its come together. The device contains around 60% of recycled Airbus A320 parts, which is not environmentally responsible but gives a far higher fidelity and feel than producing pattern parts.”
Over the past month we have had pilots from a number of airlines testing the device and the feedback has been outstanding. We set out to build the best product in this segment and I think our team in New Zealand have nailed it!
