FTD

Training in a full cockpit environment is achieved when using a Pacific Simulators FTD. Our type specific, spatially accurate devices immerse the trainee in an atmosphere that will encourage and assist in the learning. All devices can be manufactured to FAA Level 4 standards using proprietary data. Accurate control loading in all phases of flight provided by an advanced flight model is standard as well an audio system that reproduces all aircraft and environmental sounds.

Hardware

Using off the shelf computer hardware is the key to developing a cost effective simulation solution. We have achieved a high fidelity of simulation using COTS systems. This enables a standard set of computer hardware spares to be shipped with each unit allowing for quick and easy interchange of parts if required.



Visuals

Our photorealistic visual system adds another dimension to the reality experience we are creating. Visuals can be tailored to suit the client ’s requirements from standard straight ahead views to a panoramic 180 degrees. All aspects of time affected views are simulated, day, night, RVR. Severe weather conditions, sun glare and cloud are realistically simulated to add to the trainee’s workload. Airports, terrain and dynamic scenery can be created specific to each client’s requirements.

Best Use Of Training Time

Our training devices reduce FFS time requirements for flight crew training. This is achieved by utilising our device for the critical areas of learning. FMC operation, MCP and display layouts can be tailored to suit company airline specific configurations assisting in LOFT. These time and cost savings can be converted into extra training time or training overhead reduction.
