Flight Experience Franchise Network Expands

Flight Experience Limited, an innovative franchised entertainment brand selling state-of-the-art flight simulations to the public, is set to expand its network into Europe and North America, and further into Asia.

Operating profitably since 2005, the company now numbers 11 franchises located in Australia (4), New Zealand (5), Singapore and Hong Kong. The most recent additions to the network are the Hong Kong store (opened in October 2008) and the Western Australia store (opened in December 2008).

Both new stores have performed outstandingly in their first few months of operation, with significant media coverage in their respective markets.

Flight Experience Hong Kong is a two-simulator operation, and exceptional customer demand has seen more than five thousand customers "flying" since opening day. Located in MegaBox Mall, Kowloon Bay, the store has also successfully targeted the corporate events and team-building markets.

Flight Experience CEO Bill Highet said that the company is now actively pursuing new franchise opportunities throughout Asia, Europe and North America.

“The Flight Experience brand is synonymous with innovation, excitement and fun. Our product is the most advanced and authentic flight simulation available to the general public, and it appeals to almost everyone - from the complete novice keen to 'give it a go', to the adrenalin-junkie, to the entertianment-seeker wanting to try something new, right through to the committed aviation enthusiast. Our flight packages have proven to be especially popular gifts, with the lead-in to Father's Day and Christmas being our stores' busiest times.

“Franchise opportunities are ideally suited to skilled business people with entrepreneurial flair and a proven track record in recognising a rare business concept and developing it to its full potential," said Highet.

The Flight Experience simulated flight deck is manufactured in New Zealand by Pacific Simulators. Modelled on the Boeing 737-800, the PS3 device's wraparound high-fidelity visuals, sound systems, seat vibrations and tactile cockpit detail make it a fully authentic virtual reality "flight" experience for consumers. The franchise network offers a wide range of packages from basic entry-level flights and more challenging flights for repeat customers, to the Flying Club – where customers can earn their simulator pilot’s licence.

Flight Experience simulators are certified by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority, allowing private and commercial pilots to log flying hours at extremely competitive rates.
